Following the final determination of an application for assistance, if an applicant requires further financial assistance for their recovery, they may be eligible to make an application to vary the original award of financial assistance. 

From commencement of the new Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) on 18 November 2024, all variation applications must be submitted to the FAS.
